Since its opening in 2013, Liverpool Life Sciences UTC has consistently delivered on its commitment to equip students with a clear and achievable future pathway.
The school’s promise is simple but impactful: every student will leave with the option of a university place, an apprenticeship or degree apprenticeship, or a job.
This focus on real-world success has been a hallmark of the UTC's approach, helping students to thrive in the ever-evolving life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Apprenticeships, Degree Apprenticeships and Employment
At Life Sciences UTC, we recognise that while the majority of our students progress to university, higher education is not the preferred path for everyone. For those pursuing direct employment or seeking an apprenticeship or degree apprenticeship, we offer personalised guidance, strong industry connections, and dedicated career support to help them secure meaningful roles in their chosen fields.
Our students have secured prestigious apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships with organisations such as United Utilities, Arm, and Sellafield Ltd. In addition, two students have secured apprenticeships with Ford and Rothschild & Co., while another two have gained employment with Caremark and EE.
Thanks to our robust partnerships with leading employers, students have also secured positions with respected companies including Heron Care Ltd and the Ryanair Group, highlighting the success of our career-focused approach. Whether pursuing university, an apprenticeship, or direct employment, we ensure that every student receives the full support they need to take the next step in their career journey.
