This week, our students engaged in exciting enrichment activities, exploring diverse career pathways through fieldwork and cultural visits. Bionow and partner SRG visited Liverpool Life Sciences UTC for an Apprentice Showcase, where students learnt about apprenticeship benefits. Additionally, twelve students attended the IRIS summer conference in Manchester, presenting research posters and connecting with fellow young researchers. These experiences helped our students build practical skills, confidence, and understand real-world applications of their studies.
We also celebrated our spectacular students who have completed work experience across 2025 in companies such as Hillsborough Law Now, Sellafield, FACT Liverpool, Bouygues E&S, Skyhook Games, Nexatrak, GCHQ Government Cyber/STEM, Pharmaron, Alfred H Knight and many more!
Read on to find out more about these fantastic opportunities and how our students are thriving.

Now that the Year 13 exams have come to a close, Unifrog have two quick tasks they would recommend students complete whilst they wait for their results:
- This 2-minute video shows students how they can update the username on their account so they don’t get locked out of Unifrog after they leave.
- This 2-minute video encourages them to sign up to Unifrog’s Talent Pool; allowing University and Employer partners to get in touch with students if they have an opportunity (e.g. university courses, degree apprenticeships) that closely matches a student’s intended pathways of interest, intentions and skills set. This is ideal for any students that don’t get the grades they hoped, or for those that have changed their mind about a course they have applied for, as universities will reach out to them instead of them having to go through the clearing process.
