Students at Liverpool Life Sciences explored cutting-edge science and innovation during British Science Week 2026.
Our students excelled leading Primary School Science Outreach, judging the NST Science Solutions competition, and engaging with industry partners including MAST Group and Unilever.
The Year 12 AstraZeneca Poster Showcase marked the conclusion of the third year of the AstraZeneca Vaccine Challenge, an established project designed to develop students’ scientific knowledge, research skills and professional communication. The showcase gave students the opportunity to present their vaccine designs using an academic poster format, mirroring the style and expectations of professional scientific conferences.
Connie, one of our Year 13 students, recently delivered an exceptional live demonstration at Liverpool John Moores University as part of the Innovation and Disruptive Technologies for Future Engineering and Technology event.
As we approach the end of the year, we’re reflecting on some of the exciting things that happened in Liverpool – and the innovative changes that continue to happen – that our students can benefit from across the Liverpool City Region over the next few years. With investments, collaborations and developments continuing, it has led to many skilled jobs being created that our students can get involved in.
On Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, we proudly hosted our first Scholars Celebration Evening, bringing together families, staff and students to recognise the outstanding achievements of our Scholars from both Ignite and Year 10. The event marked a significant moment for our growing Scholars Programme, celebrating the dedication, curiosity and ambition our young people demonstrate every day.

At Liverpool Life Sciences UTC, we believe that learning doesn’t stop when the lesson ends. Our new enrichment sessions, running every Monday, give students from all year groups the chance to explore something completely new, develop new skills, and discover fresh passions beyond the classroom.
